How Do You Get Verified on Twitch? (Including Badge)

Verified users on Twitch have gained Twitch Partner Status. The verified badge shows that you have been accepted to the Twitch Partner Program.

Additionally, before you can meet the requirements for Twitch Partner, you first need to reach the status of Twitch Affiliate.

Twitch Affiliate Requirements

To become a Twich Affiliate, you need:

  • 50 followers 

and over the last 30 days:

500 total minutes broadcast, 7 unique broadcast days, and an average of 3 or more concurrent viewers.

Additionally, all Affiliates need to provide Tax ID information in order to be paid.

Twitch Partner Requirements

In order to apply to become a partner, you’ll need to first achieve these three milestones on your account:

  • Stream for a minimum of 25 hours within the last 30 days.
  • Stream a minimum 12 separate days within the past month.
  • Have a minimum average of 75 concurrent viewers.

Once submitted, your application can take months to be reviewed and it might be a long, drawn out process. Some streamers have reported it can take up to 3 months.

You also may see certain users with a verified icon next to a Twitch Staff badge but this looks slightly different from a normal verified Twitch account.

Each channel might have VIP’s, mods, and other unique badges but a verified account has a global badge everywhere on Twitch.
